The BID will deliver the changes and improvements that you and the other businesses in the area identify as priorities. Consultations to date have identified scope for additional investments in a range of initiatives including:
Create a clear brand & identity for the area and the businesses within it. Wardens to assist business visitors and employee safety and security. Quality streetscapes, furniture and lighting coupled with a range of environmental initiatives and improvements. Better signage, accessibility and information. Investing in the local community through education, culture, employment and environmental initiatives. Area promotions to benefit the business community and promote the BID as part of the wider city offer. Enhanced street cleaning and maintenance. Green our business area with new planting and public spaces.
Importantly the BID will only deliver additional projects and services. The BID will not duplicate or replace services provided by public bodies but will, in particular, work with Birmingham City Council, City Centre Partnership and West Midlands Police to ensure their continued delivery of high quality services. These will be 'baselined' and monitored by the BID.
